Matthew Rendely is a partner and co-lead of the Estate Litigation Practice at Loopstra Nixon LLP. He practises exclusively in wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship, and capacity-related litigation. A dedicated advocate, Matthew has successfully represented clients at all court levels, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Before joining Loopstra Nixon LLP, he was a partner at a leading Toronto estate litigation boutique. Widely recognized for his expertise, Matthew received Best Lawyers' "Ones to Watch" in trusts and estates law for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024). He is also an "Up and Coming" lawyer in Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide 2023. In 2021, Matthew earned the Hoffstein Book Prize from the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) for contributions to wills, trusts, and estates. Currently, he serves as Vice-Chair on the OBA’s Elder Law Executive committee.
