Matthew Tevlin is a partner in the business law group at Torkin Manes LLP, whose practice involves all areas of corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and cross-border transactions. He provides counsel on complex transactions as well as day-to-day activities for a wide range of clients, including private equity firms, merchant banks, venture capital firms, banks, other financial services firms, developers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and IT, BPO, and pharmaceutical companies. He has significant experience in corporate finance, including share and asset acquisitions and dispositions, debt and equity financings, corporate reorganizations, management buyouts, and private equity sponsored deals. He provides strategic and legal advice in all matters related to general corporate governance and shareholder disputes. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Venture Capital Association.
