Matti Lemmens is a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of dispute resolution, including domestic and international litigation, arbitration, and mediation. She has a diverse background across all areas of commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on oil and gas, securities, intellectual property, banking and insolvency, construction, real property, utilities, insurance, mining, and environmental matters. With over 15 years of experience, Matti has represented clients before all levels of court in Canada, handling both domestic and cross-border cases. Her experience extends to international arbitration, including representing clients before the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, under treaties including the NAFTA, WTO-TRIPS, and Berne Convention. She has also been involved in various insolvency matters, serving the monitor in cross-border restructurings and the receiver in several Alberta receiverships. Additionally, Matti has represented creditors in Canadian insolvency proceedings. Matti has worked with domestic and international companies on complex environmental contamination disputes.
