Megan McMahon is a partner in the Advocacy Department in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. Her practice focuses primarily on health law, insurance defence and professional liability, including acting as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and representing its member physicians before the Alberta courts and their regulatory bodies. Megan is a 1997 graduate of the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1998 after articling with the Court of King’s Bench and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. Megan has extensive advocacy experience at all levels of courts in Alberta. She has effectively represented clients before administrative and professional tribunals, including the College Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, Fatality Inquiries and the Workers’ Compensation Board.
