Melodie Eng

Melodie Eng is a partner in the commercial leasing group at McMillan LLP. She represents commercial landlords and tenants in office, retail, industrial, and mixed-used properties. She is passionate about advising landlords and tenants on complex leasing transactions and her business acumen helps her to identify both the legal and business issues at hand. She also advises international businesses who are looking to establish a presence in Canada. In both cross-border and domestic deals, she has a particular talent assisting retail tenants who are looking to implement an aggressive growth strategy. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars including the Law Society of Ontario, ICSC Canadian Law Conference, Ontario Bar Association, and Lexpert Professional Development programs. She was named as a 2018 Rising Star by the Georgetown Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute, an invitation-only annual conference for experienced leasing lawyers with 10+ years of experience.
