Michael is a partner and department head in the Toronto office of the firm's Banking and Finance group. Based in Toronto, Michael possesses strong and established knowledge and experience on a wide range of financing/debt transactions. He skillfully counsels and guides foreign and domestic clients on financing matters with a particular emphasis on fund finance, loan syndications, cash flow and asset-based lending, acquisition financings, cross-border financings, project and real estate financings, mezzanine financings, and inter-creditor arrangements. Michael also advises clients in connection with corporate restructuring, private mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate matters. He acts for a number of financial institutions, as well as other public and private entities in the financial services, resource, manufacturing, entertainment, energy, and retail industries.
On August 15, 2018, New Water Capital L.P. (New Water), a Boca Raton-based private equity firm focused on lower-middle market companies, completed its acquisition of Trillium Health Care Products (THC), a premier contract manufacturer of category-leading OTC products for some of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies.
