Michael Shakra practises commercial law with an emphasis on insolvency, restructuring, recapitalizations, private workouts, secured transactions and enforcement of debtor and creditor rights. He has significant experience in complex cross-border matters across a number of industries, including oil and gas, cannabis, construction, investment funds, retail and manufacturing. He also provides strategic and risk mitigation advice on corporate lending transactions. Prior to his call to the Bar, Michael spent time as a Short-Term Consultant with Debt Resolution and Business Exit Group of the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank Group in Washington DC.
