Monique Couture, a partner in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, manages a vibrant IP practice, with an emphasis on trademark enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, global trademark protection, and prosecution. Monique works across many industries, including gaming, quantum computing, manufacturing, music, entertainment, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceutical, hospitality, fashion, and retail. She is involved in all aspects of brand protection for private companies and major multinational brand owners and manages the Canadian trademark portfolios of many of the world's most recognized brands. She appears before the Trademarks Opposition Board, the Registrar of Trademarks, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
