Counsel in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Real Property and Planning Group in Vancouver. Specializes in commercial real estate, including the acquisition, financing, subdivision, development and sale of development property, commercial leasing, land title issues, Real Estate Development Marketing Act issues, as well as advising companies on related corporate/commercial matters. Recent experience includes acting for landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases and related documentation for office, retail and industrial lease transactions, and in the practical resolution of lease disputes, including acting for the landlord of a large portfolio of office towers and industrial and retail properties and acting for national retail tenants; acting for major developers of multi-family residential, mixed use and commercial developments, including air space parcels, phased strata plans and leasehold developments; working with governmental and regulatory authorities with respect to the development, subdivision and servicing of development property; and advising on Strata Property Act issues and dealings with strata corporations. Authored a chapter in the British Columbia Real Estate Practice Manual. Admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2006.
