Nicolas Gagnon specializes in construction and infrastructure law and surety law. He works primarily on matters involving construction disputes related to large public and private projects. He counsels public and private sector clients, professional services firms and contractors, as well as surety companies at every stage of construction projects. He advises clients with respect to the public bidding and procurement process and is involved in the drafting of contract documents and the management of the work and any claims resulting therefrom. Mr. Gagnon specializes in negotiation and litigation of construction disputes and regularly represents his clients before civil and arbitration tribunals. He is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and has been listed in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in the area of Construction Law since 2011. Stornoway Diamond Corporation announced that it had closed its previously announced financing transactions with US private equity firm Orion Mine Finance, Investissement Québec (through its wholly owned subsidiaries Diaquem Inc. and Resources Québec) (“RQ”), and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec to fund the construction of the Renard Diamond Project, Quebec’s first diamond mine.
