Nikki Charlton practises in the challenging field of family law, with a dynamic practice offering every process option (mediation, collaborative law, arbitration, litigation), to best serve her client’s interests. She is an accredited Parenting Coordinator, Mediator, and Child Interviewer. First elected Bencher in 2024, Nikki is a member of the Discipline Committee, Complainant’s Review Committee, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. Nikki obtained her BA with distinction at UVic and her law degree at UBC. She has co-chaired the CLEBC Biennial Family Law Conference since in 2017 and was a presenter at the 2024 National Family Law Conference in Halifax. Nikki’s article was recently published in the Canadian Family Law Quarterly journal. She served for six years on the board of the BC Collaborative Practice Roster Society, and during her tenure Nikki supported the development of the Pro Bono Collaborative Family Law Project. Before becoming a lawyer, Nikki worked as a respite and support worker, including with youth at risk and children with disabilities. She has participated in numerous charitable fundraising activities and has been on the board of the North Shore Disability Resource Association. Called to the Bar in 2004.
