Olivia Dixon is a corporate and commercial litigation lawyer with a primary focus on energy litigation, construction litigation and international commercial arbitration. In her energy litigation practice, Olivia's experience includes complex contractual disputes involving leases, ownership interests, operating agreements and processing agreements. Olivia has also acted in litigation surrounding major resource projects, including judicial review applications, regulatory appeals, and environmental, administrative, constitutional, Charter and Indigenous claims. Olivia's construction litigation experience includes dealing with construction bonds (performance, bid and labour and materials bonds), and disputes that arise in the course of construction, such as scope changes and schedule changes. Finally, with respect to her international commercial arbitration practice, Olivia has experience in conducting arbitrations held under the auspices of the UNCITRAL Model Law and Arbitration Rules. Olivia has appeared before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, the Federal Court of Appeal and in various alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including domestic and international arbitration and mediation.
