Pavan Jawanda is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Business Law Group in Vancouver. His practice is primarily focused on advising public and private companies and private equity firms on domestic and international M&A transactions, capital markets, corporate finance, venture capital and other corporate and commercial transactions. Prior to joining McCarthy, Pavan was a lawyer with one of New York’s leading international law firms, where he was based in its New York office from 2008 to 2012 and in its Hong Kong office from 2012 to 2014. Pavan is also a Certified Public Accountant. Pavan has advised on corporate transactions originating in over 25 countries, with a particular focus on Canada, the US, China, India and other parts of Asia. Pavan is the founder of a pro bono program with community partners that provides pro bono assistance to asylum seekers from conflict zones who have young children.
