Philippe St-Louis

Philippe St-Louis is a partner in the Montreal office and focuses his practice on corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on M&A, private equity, venture capital and equity, and debt financing. He acts for businesses at all stages of their growth advising them in the context of major transactions (both on the buy-side and sell-side), while also providing practical and timely legal advice in connection with their daily operational matters. He is a leader in the area of entertainment and media law where he advises clients involved in a variety of industries including film, television, gaming, new media, and music. In particular, he represents television and film producers, video game studios, VFX and animation studios, distributors, banks, financiers, and artists, offering his clients a comprehensive suite of legal services in order to bring their projects to fruition. At various times, he has been a member of the in-house legal department of a Canadian broadcaster, an American cable television channel, and a major Hollywood studio.
