A leading Canadian expert in natural resources, energy, and environmental law since earning his Doctor of Laws, Pierre has handled significant cases in all natural resource stages, from prospecting to operation, including mine rehabilitation and restoration of mining sites, and negotiation and drafting of impact and benefits agreements with Native communities; preparation, implementation of EMS. He's been instrumental in drafting laws for land, mining, and environmental regimes under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1968, he also taught mining law at the University of Montreal (2007-2019). Recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada and named Lawyer of the Year multiple times (2012, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2024) for Montreal in natural resources, mining, and Aboriginal law.
