Robert is a partner of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group in the Toronto office where he advises on insolvency and corporate restructuring matters under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and the Business Corporations Act. In addition to corporate restructuring matters, Robert has significant experience in receivership and bankruptcy proceedings, creditor rights and enforcement, and out of court restructurings and work-outs. Robert has acted for debtors, lenders, Court-appointed monitors and receivers, trustees, DIP lenders, and purchasers of distressed assets in a variety of insolvency proceedings. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and Alberta Court of Appeal.
