Roger D. McConchie

Roger D. McConchie is co-author of Canadian Libel and Slander Actions (2004, Irwin Law). He contributed the section on "Canada" in Carter-Ruck on Libel and Privacy, Sixth Edition (2010, LexisNexis). Civil litigation with a practice focused on defamation, invasion of privacy, personal information protection, media, and trade libel law. Has advised and represented domestic and international clients at all levels of the court system for nearly 40 years. Has written extensively and spoken frequently on the subjects in his preferred areas of practice to academic and professional audiences, and his comments about legal developments are often reported in the media. He is responsible for the firm’s website at www.libelandprivacy.com, which includes a page devoted to summarizing Canadian court decisions involving internet libel. Welcomes referrals, as well as opportunities, to provide advice on consulting basis to foreign or domestic lawyers or in-house counsel.
