Ruth was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2020 and also holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ TEP, the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and the Institute of Corporate Directors’ ICDD designations. She is recognized in Lexpert as a leading Calgary practitioner in Estate & Tax Planning, and in The Best Lawyers in Canada for tax law and trusts and estates. Ruth is currently Past Chair of the Calgary branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and serves as a director on the STEP Canada board, and Deputy Chair of its Member Services Committee.
