Co-Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Construction Group and member of the Infrastructure and Corporate/Commercial Groups. Ryan advises on, drafts and negotiates concession, design-build, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation agreements as part of major infrastructure projects across Canada. He regularly provides strategic advice to clients on service agreements for various engineering-related matters. Prior to joining Aird & Berlis, Ryan co-led the Construction, Infrastructure, P3 and Projects practice groups at the Vancouver office of a major international law firm. Ryan has also served as in-house legal counsel to SNC-Lavalin, one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies, practicing in the areas of commercial, infrastructure and construction law. Chief Judge for the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (British Columbia). Member of the Vancouver Bar Association and Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships.
