Sam has over 20 years' experience before all levels of court in Ontario and in private commercial arbitrations. He acts for shareholders, officers, and directors of both public and private corporations. He also acts for both boards and shareholder groups in proxy fights for control of public companies. He acts frequently in disputes related to the interpretation and enforcement of contractual rights. He routinely acts for defendants in class actions. Sam has been counsel in numerous significant cases including the recent decision in Sprott v. Continental Currency. He was a Lexpert "Rising Star" in 2015. He has been recognized in numerous legal directories including Benchmark, Chambers, and Best Lawyers. Sam speaks regularly on topics related to civil and commercial litigation, and is a past instructor at the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop hosted by Osgoode Hall Law School. Sam is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
