Sean M. Sullivan is the managing partner of Gowling WLG's Waterloo Region office. He practises commercial litigation with an emphasis on shareholder disputes, estate litigation, contract disputes, product liability disputes and recovery services. Sean acts for a broad range of clients, including private companies of all sizes, banks and insurance companies. He has specifically developed a reputation for handling complex estate litigation and cases involving the oppression remedy. Sean has argued cases at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has represented parties as counsel at trials, applications and motions through the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Community minded, Sean was a 2012 recipient of the Waterloo Region Record's Top 40 Under 40, recognizing his achievements and contributions to the Kitchener-Waterloo community. In 2017, he received a Waterloo Region Police Services Civilian Award in appreciation for his contribution to the community. Sean has been recognized in both The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada.
