Sharagim Habibi is a partner practising in the Calgary and Toronto offices of Gowling WLG. He practises corporate and securities law with a focus on M&A, corporate finance, corporate governance and other securities and corporate law matters, predominantly working with clients who are actively going public or preparing to go public. Sharagim has represented both private companies and publicly-traded issuers on the Toronto Stock Exchange the TSX Venture Exchange, the Canadian Securities Exchange, the NEO exchange and US-based stock exchanges. He has also been involved in a number of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and debt and equity securities offerings, including IPOs. He has acted on numerous cross-border acquisitions of Canadian issuers by US-listed entities and similarly structured reverse takeover transactions. In addition to working with clients across industries including technology, manufacturing, construction, health care, regulated services and retail, Sharagim is also active in emerging market sectors including FinTech, blockchain, cannabis and psilocybin. Sharagim has been a member of various administrative tribunals and has taught at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law and Haskayne School of Business.
