Shelagh Carnegie is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Toronto office, head of the firm’s national Intellectual Property Group, co-head of its Global Intellectual Property Group, and a member of the China Management Team. She works with colleagues in Canada, China, France, Germany, the UK, Singapore, the UAE, and other locales to strengthen the firm's offerings across all areas of IP law – including prosecution, enforcement, litigation, and transactional work. Shelagh’s practice focuses on trademarks and she has extensive experience helping local and international clients clear, protect, commercialize, and enforce their trademark rights at home and abroad. She has provided bespoke solutions to companies across an array of industries, including alcohol, automotive, cannabis, clothing, food & beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, medical devices, professional services, social media, and tech.
