Stephen A. Pike ICD.D is co-leader of Gowling WLG ‘s Canadian ESG Advisory Services Practice. Stephen advises Canadian, American, and global businesses on corporate law and governance, ESG, transactional, operational and risk management issues, including supply chain, product distribution, regulatory compliance, and product liability matters. He advises businesses and investors on ESG issues including how they can address and mitigate the risks of forced labour and child labour in their supply chains. A prolific writer and speaker, he is co-editor of ESG in theBoardroom: A Guidebook for Directors and contributor to the Director's Handbook: A Field Guide to 101 Situations Commonly Encountered in the Boardroom (American Bar Association (ABA)). He also hosted the ABA’s Business Law Section “ESG in the Boardroom” podcast series. Stephen has written a 20+ part continuing series offering insights for Canadian CEOs and directors on addressing modern slavery in their businesses and supply chains. He is a member of the program faculty for the “ESG, Climate Risk and the Law” Professional Development Certificate at Osgoode Hall Law School. Stephen is a Certified Corporate Director and serves on the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee of the Canadian Cancer Society.
