Stuart Chaimberg focuses on the area of commercial leasing. He is a member of the bars of Ontario and Quebec and is fluently bilingual in English and French. He regularly advises clients on matters involving both common law and civil law concepts inherent in commercial leasing and real estate files across Canada. He deals with matters relating to retail, office, industrial, restaurant, mixed use, and hospitality properties. His practice is evenly balanced between representing landlords and tenants, thus enabling him to understand the reasons or interests underlying the positions often advanced by the other party to the transaction, and provide practical advice to resolve outstanding issues. He is often called upon to assist with large scale commercial transactions that have a leasing component, as well as portfolio and redevelopment projects. He regularly presents at the LSO’s Eight-Minute Commercial Leasing Lawyer and the ICSC+ Canadian Law conferences and has co-authored multiple articles published on Lexology, Mondaq, Droit-Inc, and Trucking News. He is recognized by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in the areas of Property Leasing and Property Development and by Thomson Reuters as a “Stand-out Lawyer”.
