Sunira is a litigator and the founder of Workly Law. Her practice is focused in employment law, and she represents both employers and employees with respect to wrongful terminations, executive compensation issues, constructive dismissals, partnership disputes, and human rights issues. She has represented clients at the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice and the Human Rights Tribunal and Human Rights Commission. Sunira writes a weekly employment law column for the Toronto Sun, and is a frequent radio panelist on Newstalk 1010 where she comments on employment issues, news and politics. Sunira previously served on the Board of Directors of the South Asian Bar Association’s Toronto Chapter as Co-Chair of Advocacy in addition to several other roles focusing on community outreach and inclusivity issues in the legal profession. She currently serves on the board of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. Sunira obtained her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to founding Workly Law, Sunira began her legal career at a leading Toronto litigation boutique, and was a partner at a leading employment law firm.
