Tamara has broad experience representing private and public sector trade unions in arbitrations, mediations, labour board hearings and court proceedings, including judicial reviews. She also represents non-union employees in wrongful dismissal and human rights matters. Tamara has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia, in matters before the Federal Court, and before many administrative tribunals including the Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal. She is a tenacious and tireless litigator and negotiator, who applies diverse and proactive strategies to ensure that her clients obtain the best results. Tamara is a frequent speaker and educator on a variety of topics, including privacy law, federal labour law, and human rights and accommodation law. Among other things, she has taught Labour Arbitration at Osgoode Hall Law School and is a regular instructor on Federal Labour Law at the Canadian Labour Congress Winter School.
