Todd Burke is a senior litigator in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, professional liability, and insurance defence. He also brings a strong crisis management perspective allowing clients to manage both legal and reputational risk. In over 30 years of practice, he has represented national and international clients in sectors including manufacturing, finance, technology, transportation, health, and nuclear energy. Recent mandates have focused on class actions, shareholder disputes, oppression claims, real estate disputes, software implementation, environmental contamination, construction disputes, professional negligence, and disciplinary proceedings before various professional colleges. He also has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration, particularly cases in the commercial, insurance, and professional liability fields. He also lectures on the risks associated with AI.
