Trevor McCann

Trevor has over two decades of experience in specialty insurance and liability matters. He represents Lloyd's syndicates, as well as domestic and international insurers, on a range of coverage and liability instructions. He is named in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in Insurance Law. Trevor has particular experience with multi-jurisdictional and high stakes claims involving the professional liability of lawyers, accountants, and other financial services professionals. He also handles a variety of specialty insurance matters including technology, D&O, commercial crime, contingency, and pharmaceutical product liability risks. Trevor has advised on complex insurance arrangements, conducted claims management audits, prepared insurance exposure reviews, assisted underwriting endeavours, provided professional practice and risk management advice, and taught Insurance Law at McGill University's Faculty of Law. Trevor is champion for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and sits on Clyde & Co's Global Corporate Responsibility & Inclusion Committee. He is also Clyde & Co’s Canada Risk partner. Fluent in French and English, he frequently speaks on insurance, professional liability, risk management, and diversity and inclusion topics in Canada and internationally.
