Urszula Wojtyra, a Principal in Smart & Biggar’s Toronto office, practises in the field of life sciences, including pharmaceuticals and biologics, and is a key member of the firm’s litigation team. She regularly represents clients in patent infringement and validity actions, including under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, before both the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal of Canada. She advises clients on regulatory due diligence and regulatory compliance issues. She has broad experience in regulatory matters in Canada. Before attending law school, she got her master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Toronto and worked in an immunology research laboratory in Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children.
