Vincent Laurin

Vincent is a partner in our Montreal office. His practice focuses on securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate governance. He has participated in numerous going-private transactions of publicly listed issuers and purchase and sale transactions of private companies. Vincent has acted for a diverse range of clients, including selling companies and strategic and financial buyers. He has also been counsel to issuers and underwriters in various public offerings (including IPOs) and private placements of publicly listed issuers. Vincent is a trusted advisor for his clients, recognized for his efficient and clear approach. He has played an important role in significant capital markets and M&A transactions involving public and private companies. Vincent sits on the board of directors of the Canadian Club of Montreal. He is also a member of our Student Recruitment Committee and mentors the next generation of lawyers. Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Vincent practised with a local law firm in Kuwait. He also acted as counsel for the legal department of a multinational based in Montreal, whose shares are traded on the NYSE and TSX, and was a lawyer for another national Canadian law firm in Montreal.
