William Gale has been a partner at Grosman Gale Fletcher Hopkins LLP since 1989, where he practises in the areas of employment and labor law. He was selected by the Lexpert peer review process as one of the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada. In labour law, he represents management exclusively and has appeared before labor boards and arbitrators. In the area of employment law, he has appeared in the courts at both the trial and appellate levels to argue many reported decisions involving issues such as wrongful dismissal, human rights, and pensions and benefits. Bill represents a number of employers including many arts organizations, and also chairs the board of the Hannaford Street Silver Band. Bill has written articles for a number of publications in the area of employment law. Bill received his MusBac from Western University and his LLB from the University of Windsor in 1980. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982. Bill’s employment law practice also includes negotiating and drafting executive contracts. Referred to in the Business Magazine of the National Post as “an executive agent,” Bill reduces the increasingly complex nature of executive compensation to concise written documents on behalf of his executive clients.
