Zehra Sheerazi

Zehra focuses on corporate and securities law with an emphasis on private equity and M&A. She plays a key role in advising and working with public and private companies, financial institutions and pension funds, including TorQuest Partners, Imperial Capital, TMX Group, the Brookfield Group, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and CPP Investments. Zehra advises clients in all aspects of investing and divestiture transactions, including asset and stock transactions, co-investments, shareholders arrangements, joint ventures, majority and minority equity investments and restructurings. Zehra has experience working closely with clients through every stage in their development, from initial investments onward, including on complex matters like capital markets and M&A transactions and ongoing corporate, securities, compliance and governance work. She also has significant cross-border experience, including having previously worked in Torys’ New York office on clients’ US capital markets transactions and governance matters.
