Mitsubishi HC Capital Canada, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi HC Capital America, has announced the appointment of Francis C. Meagher as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Senior Counsel, focusing on Institutional Transactions and Special Loans.
Mitsubishi HC Capital Canada, affiliated with Mitsubishi HC Capital America, is a non-captive, non-bank commercial finance company with $7.5 billion in assets and a team of over 800. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in law, Meagher is expected to bring his extensive expertise in insurance, business law, and commercial litigation to the company.
Meagher is a seasoned attorney with over 35 years of experience. He specializes in corporate finance, particularly in executing securities and financing for diverse asset types, including equipment. His proficiency extends to corporate restructuring and contract negotiation—areas critical to Mitsubishi HC Capital Canada's growth and operational strategy.

Meagher's career has seen him representing a wide spectrum of clients, from major financial institutions to SMEs, and handling complex matters related to business law and court claims. His experience encompasses corporate financing, drafting and negotiating agreements, incorporations, business acquisitions and sales, and various aspects of bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial equipment repossession.

Meagher holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Université de Montréal. He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1984.
