Jon Holmstrom is the leader of Fasken Martineau's Banking & Finance Practice Group. His practice includes multi-jurisdictional acquisition financings, derivative products, project finance (mining, wind, solar, ethanol, PPP and other), corporate and commercial lending, securitizations, convertible debt and high yield debt transactions, equipment (including aircraft) leasing, corporate workouts and debt restructurings and structured finance. He advises clients on financing matters related to the computer software, cable, transportation, logistics, steel, financial leasing, commercial real estate, financial (including brokerage), mortgage warehousing, automotive parts manufacturing and dealer, telecommunications, architecture, commodities (petroleum and metals), aggregates, manufacturing, processing, amusement park, retail, funeral services, health care, mining, green energy (wind and solar), agribusiness (including ethanol) and petrochemical industries. Jon is actively involved in structuring and documenting financial, equity and commodity derivative and securities lending transactions for financial institutions, mutual funds and other end-users. He is repeatedly recommended in legal publications for his banking and finance law expertise. Jon was called to the Ontario Bar in 1981.
