Has a broad practice that includes issues ranging from Aboriginal relationship building to permitting and approvals and regulatory compliance. Acts as environmental assessment (EA) counsel on an array of infrastructure projects including energy, mining, waste and water projects and is active with EAs in a variety of Canadian jurisdictions. Very active in Arctic project development and regulatory matters. Has extensive experience with Aboriginal consultation, impact and benefit agreement negotiation and joint venture development, most commonly as proponents counsel. Involved in climate change matters for the last decade and has advised clients on offset and related agreements, international initiatives and strategic corporate climate change planning. Has a unique, pragmatic approach that results in strategic solutions for various types of projects. Adam supports and represents industry organizations in various sectors.
