Bureau Veritas SA (BV) acquired Maxxam Analytics International Corporation from OMERS Private Equity, the private equity investment arm of OMERS and certain management and employee shareholders, for $650 million.
Based in France, Bureau Veritas provides testing, inspection and certification services.
Maxxam is a Canadian provider of analytic services and solutions to the energy, environmental, food and DNA industries with a network of laboratories across the country. Maxxam will continue to operate under the Maxxam name as a separate Canadian entity; with no changes to business structure, people or processes.
