CF Industries Holdings Acquires Terra Industries

On April 15, 2010, CF Industries Holdings, Inc. completed its $4.7 billion acquisition of Terra Industries Inc. CF Industries first announced it had proposed to acquire Terra Industries on January 15, 2009. On March 2, 2010, CF Industries announced a new offer to acquire Terra Industries and the parties entered into an agreement on March 12, 2010. The combined company will be a global producer and distributor of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer products.
