On January 7, 2004, SMK Speedy International Inc. completed a plan of arrangement whereby 578098 Alberta Ltd., operating as Minute Muffler & Brake, acquired all the issued and outstanding common shares of SMK for approximately $85 million in a combination of cash and promissory notes.
