Partner with Bennett Jones LLP in the Energy, Environmental and Aboriginal Law Practice Groups. His practice focuses primarily on energy regulatory law, environmental law, Indigenous community relations, and water resource management. Formerly counsel to the NEB, he offers extensive experience with the federal and provincial regulatory approval process with an emphasis on energy projects, environmental reviews, and aboriginal rights issues. He represents clients before administrative tribunals and the courts. He advises resource industry clients, infrastructure developers, municipalities, First Nations, and several industry associations in the energy, natural resource, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. He partcipated in many major environmental reviews, federal and provincial, on behalf of participants, and in other instances, on behalf of the project review panel. Past president of the National and British Columbia Administrative Law Sections of the CBA. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1984 and the British Columbia Bar in 1991.
