Bill is a member of the Firm’s Corporate, Securities and Corporate Finance, and Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups. Bill advises public and private company buyers, sellers and target companies on numerous merger and acquisition transactions, primarily in the power, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors, both in Canada, internationally and cross border. Bill has worked with board special committees on strategic transactions and has advised numerous public company boards of directors on governance and decision-making issues. Bill’s practice also involves energy and services companies on transaction and project work. Bill is a leader in ESG and sustainable finance, representing Dentons Canada as a member of the International Capital Markets Association Green Bond Principles since 2014 and also as a member of the CSA Group’s technical committee developing the made in Canada Transition Finance Taxonomy following the 2019 recommendations of the Federal Government’s Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance. Bill is a member of the Advisory Council to the Green and Social Bond Principles Executive Committee. Bill's work includes ESG and sustainable finance, including in the areas of green, transition, sustainability and sustainability-linked loans and bonds.
