Pierre Lissoir is a partner in Gowling WLG’S Montreal office practising in the field of business law and acting in a wide range of commercial transactions focusing primarily on public and private corporate matters, project financing, energy, mining, takeovers and mergers and acquisitions. He has acted as counsel to issuers and underwriters in various public (including initial public offerings) and private placements of publicly listed issuers. He has also been active with various special committees in the context of takeover bids and related-party transactions. He also acts as counsel to various public issuers in the normal course of their activities. His practice also focuses on dealing with and securing approval from the Competition Bureau, Investment Canada and other regulatory agencies. Pierre, a graduate of McGill University (BA 1983) and Ottawa University (LLL,1987), was called to the Quebec Bar in 1989. He has been recognized in both The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada.
On June 14, 2018, Nouvelle Autoroute 30, s.e.n.c.(NA30) successfully closed the $1.2 billion bond refinancing for Montreal highway Autoroute 30 (A-30) concession project (the A-30 Project). The bonds included approximately $828 million in long-term bonds, due 2042, priced at roughly 4.11% and approximately $390 million in medium-term bonds, due 2033, carrying a coupon of approximately 3.75%.
