Steve McKersie brings to his roles broad institutional knowledge; a commitment to the firm’s core values and longstanding relationships with many key clients. He has significant experience advising boards of directors and senior executives on growth, operational and financial strategies as well as governance processes. Prior to becoming CEO, Steve managed a robust corporate, commercial and securities law practice, working with domestic and international clients on M&A, restructurings, financings and commercial contract negotiations. He also led the firm’s US Sales Initiative which found him collaborating with professionals from across the firm’s global offices to strengthen relationships with US law firms and clients. Steve continues to serve as the primary relationship partner for a number of major clients, including Canadian companies and international companies with a presence in Canada. His clients span a range of industry sectors – including manufacturing, technology, beverages & alcohol, payments, gaming, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, automotive, insurance and advertising. He has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and named an Acritas Star in 2018 to 2020.
