Brian’s civil litigation practice includes a wide range of matters, including complex financial disputes, class actions, securities, civil fraud and defamation. His clients have included Canadian and foreign public and private companies, professionals (including securities professionals, accountants, and lawyers), governments, regulators and NGOs. Brian has acted as lead counsel at trial and on appeal. He has appeared before all levels of Court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and numerous administrative tribunals. He coaches the Queen’s University OTLA trial moot team and, in 2018, received Queen’s University’s Dan Soberman Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Brian is recognized by his peers as a leading lawyer in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Lexpert Special Edition: Canada's Leading Litigation Lawyers, Best Lawyers in Canada, and Legal 500 Canada.
