France Tenaille is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. A member of the firm's Business Law, Energy and Mining Groups, she is also leader of its Latin America team. With almost 30 years of experience advising on Canadian and international matters, France focuses her practice on complex corporate, corporate finance, project finance and M&A transactions and commercial agreements with an emphasis on Latin American energy and natural resources. In mining, she has specific experience with mining (earn-in) options, joint ventures, mine operating agreements, off-take agreements, royalties, strategic alliance agreements, and layback agreements, among others. Before moving to Canada, France practised for over five years at a major law firm in Caracas, Venezuela. Her unique legal training and experience allow her to advise on a range of Latin American matters. Similarly, she is uniquely positioned to advise Latin American clients on Canadian and international matters. France is regularly distinguished in numerous legal publications including Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory,Who's Who Legal: Mining, IFLR1000 and Latinvex: Latin America's Top 100 Lawyers.
