Jeff is the leader of the Blakes National Pensions and Benefits Group and has practised exclusively in this area for over 25 years. He has expertise dealing with pension investments, pension and benefit issues in corporate insolvencies and pension governance, as well as pension and benefit issues arising in the context of corporate transactions, loan agreements and pension plan mergers. He also advises plan sponsors and insurers on de-risking strategies, including buy-in and buy-out annuities. Jeff’s clients include public and private sector plan sponsors and administrators and a wide range of financial institutions and service providers. Jeff is a past Chair of the CBA’s Pension and Benefits Section and a long-time Program Director and lecturer for the Osgoode Certificate in Pension Law program.
