Peter Reardon joined Nathanson Schachter & Thompson LLP after practicing for many years with a national firm. He is widely recognized as a leading insolvency and restructuring practitioner and has extensive experience in commercial matters. He has represented clients at all levels of court including appellate litigation in the BC Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Supreme Courts of BC and Yukon. Reardon has been involved in cross-border insolvencies and non-insolvency corporate reorganizations. He has acted and continues to act for secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditor committees, trustees in bankruptcy, court-appointed monitors, interim lenders, receivers, acquirers of assets and other related parties in insolvency situations. He has represented multiple financial institutions and other secured lenders in debt realization proceedings, including mortgage foreclosures and personal property security realization. He has been appointed by the court as amicus curiae (friend of the court) in an insolvency proceeding. He has been a frequent lecturer at insolvency and other conferences across the country. Reardon is a member of the prestigious Insolvency Institute of Canada.
