Sylvain Chabot is a partner at Cain Lamarre and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1998. He is also a Certified Industrial Relations Counsellor (CIRC). His practice is focused on labour and employment law, where he exclusively represents employers. He advises them on collective and individual labour relations, labour standards, industrial accidents and work-related illnesses, occupational health and safety, human rights and freedoms, and administrative law. Over the course of his career, Mr. Chabot has given many lectures and taught at the Quebec Bar School. He frequently represents his clients before the Tribunal administratif du travail and civil and arbitration courts. He also assists his clients with unionization campaigns, certification applications and collective agreement negotiations. His main sectors of activity are manufacturing, public administration (municipal, provincial and federal), agriculture and the agri-food industry, energy, natural resources and transportation. He also sits on the Cain Lamarre Board of Directors. Causes affecting the vulnerable are particularly close to his heart. He has been involved in a number of committees, boards and foundations in the past.
