Participates in law reform projects in the areas of commercial law and personal property security law sponsored by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law. Participates in the works of the Uniform Law Conference of Canada. Has authored numerous articles and chapters in law reviews and law books. Associate Professor on banking law at the Law Faculty, Université de Montréal. Frequent speaker at conferences in Canada and abroad on topics related to his areas of practice. Chair of the Quebec Bar Law Review and the Secured Transactions Committee of the Quebec Bar. Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. Member of the Quebec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Legal Advisory Panel of the Aviation Working Group.

On July 3, 2017, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (SNC-Lavalin) completed its acquisition of WS Atkins plc (Atkins), one of the world’s most respected consultancies in design, engineering and project management, with a leadership position across the infrastructure, transportation and energy sectors, by means of a Court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the U.K. Companies Act 2006 (the Acquisition).
